The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 62 of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006(1), hereby makes the following order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2006.
2. In this Order, “the Act” means the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
3. The provisions of the Act specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on 16th June 2006.
4. Section 45 (integration loans) shall come into force on 30th June 2006.

Section 61 (repeals) for the purposes of the repeal in the British Nationality Act 1981 in section 40A(3), the word “and” before paragraph (d).

Article 3 of this Order brings into force on 16th June 2006 certain provisions of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Article 4 brings into force section 45 (integration loans) of that Act on the 30th June 2006.
