JUSTICES OF THE PEACE, ENGLAND AND WALES

This Order provides for the reorganisation of the local justice areas in Shropshire. A new local justice area named Shrewsbury and North Shropshire replaces the existing local justice areas of Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Drayton. A new local justice area named Telford and South Shropshire replaces the existing local justice areas of Telford and Bridgnorth and South Shropshire. The Order is brought into force on 2nd August for the purpose of enabling appointments to be made on the basis of the combined areas and on 1st January 2007 for the substantive creation of the combined areas.
