In exercise of the powers conferred on the appropriate Minister by section 11 of the Channel Tunnel Act 1987(1), the Secretary of State makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Channel Tunnel (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 26th October 2006.
2. In article 7 of the Channel Tunnel (Miscellaneous Provisions) Order 1994(2) for the words “and the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989(3)” there shall be substituted the words “the Terrorism Act 2000(4) and the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999(5)”.

This Order amends the Channel Tunnel (Miscellaneous Provisions) Order 1994 (S.I. 1994/1405). It amends Article 7 of that Order to include a reference to the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 to reflect amendments made to Schedule 4 of the Channel Tunnel (International Arrangements) Order 1993 (S.I. 1993/1813). It also amends article 7 to substitute the reference to the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989 (which has been repealed) with a reference to the Terrorism Act 2000.
