Disinfection at entrances and exits

9.  The occupier must, in accordance with an inspector’s instructions, provide and maintain means of disinfection at the entrances and exits of the premises and of buildings housing poultry or other captive birds(1).

Disinfectants approved for use under this Order are set out in the Schedules to the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (S.I. 1978/32, amended by S.I. 1999/919, S.I. 2005/1908 and S.I. 2006/1197; there are other amending instruments but these do not relate to avian influenza.).
