Application of the seal10

The Commission shall have a seal.

The application of the seal of the Commission shall be authenticated by the clerk or, in the absence of the clerk, by any three Commissioners named by the Commission for this purpose.

Any document which the Commission is authorised or required by or under any enactment to make or issue may be signed on behalf of the Commission by the clerk or any other officer who has been authorised for the purpose, whether generally or specifically, by the Commission or, in the absence of such authorised clerk or officer, by any three Commissioners, named by the Commission for this purpose.

Every document purporting to be an instrument made or issued by or on behalf of the Commission and to be duly executed under the seal of the Commission, or to be signed or executed by a person authorised by the Commission for the purpose, shall be received in evidence and be treated, without further proof, as being so made or issued unless the contrary is shown.

Any notice which is required or authorised, by or under any provision of any enactment or Act of the Scottish Parliament, to be given, served or issued by, to or on the Commission shall be in writing.
