Coming into force in accordance with rule 1(2)
The Secretary of State makes the following Rules in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 36(2) of the Representation of the People Act 1983 M1.
In accordance with section 7(1) and (2)(d) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 M2 he has consulted the Electoral Commission.
