The following are not within the definition in paragraph 1—
a
a ballast integrated within a lamp;
b
a ballast—
i
designed specifically for a luminaire to be mounted in furniture;
ii
which forms a non-replaceable part of the luminaire; and
iii
which cannot be tested separately from the luminaire, according to point 2.1.3 of European Standard 60920;
or
c
a ballast to be exported from the Community either as a single component or incorporated in a luminaire.
