FRIENDLY SOCIETIES
This Order amends the Friendly Societies Act 1992 (“the 1992 Act”) to implement, in relation to friendly societies:Parts of Directive 2006/43/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on statutory audits of annual accounts (amending Directives 78/660/EEC, 83/349/EEC, 86/635/EEC and 91/674/EEC) (O.J. L 157, 9.6.2006, p.87), andParts of Directive 2006/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directives 78/660/EEC, 83/349/EEC, 86/635/EEC and 91/674/EEC on the annual and consolidated accounts of certain types of companies, banks and other financial institutions (O.J. L 224, 16.8.2006, p.7).
