PART 2The Inspectorate

26.—(1) In the enactments specified in paragraph (2), for “Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of the National Probation Service for England and Wales” substitute “Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation for England and Wales”.

(2) The enactments are—

(a)paragraphs 3(2)(a) and 4(c) of Schedule A1 (further provision about Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Prisons) to the Prison Act 1952(1);

(b)paragraphs 3(2)(c) and 4(c) of Schedule 4A (further provision about Her Majesty’s Inspectors of Constabulary) to the Police Act 1996(2);

(c)section 37(1A)(d) (assistance to other bodies and persons) of the Audit Commission Act 1998(3);

(d)paragraph 1(2)(b) of Schedule 2A (interaction with other authorities) to the Audit Commission Act 1998(4);

(e)paragraph 4(c) of the Schedule (further provision about Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of the Crown Prosecution Service) to the Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate Act 2000(5);

(f)paragraph 4(d) of Schedule 3A (further provision about the inspectors of court administration) to the Courts Act 2003(6);

(g)section 67A(1)(d) (assistance by Auditor General to inspectorates) of the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004(7); and

(h)paragraph 1(3)(d) of Schedule 13 (interaction with other authorities) to the Education and Inspections Act 2006(8).

27.—(1) In the enactments specified in paragraph (2), for “Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of the National Probation Service for England and Wales” substitute “Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Probation for England and Wales”.

(2) The enactments are—

(a)paragraphs 2(2)(c) and 5(3)(c) of Schedule A1 (further provision about Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Prisons) to the Prison Act 1952(9);

(b)paragraphs 2(2)(c) and 5(3)(c) of Schedule 4A (further provision about Her Majesty’s Inspectors of Constabulary) to the Police Act 1996(10);

(c)paragraph 1(1)(d) of Schedule 2A (interaction with other authorities) to the Audit Commission Act 1998(11);

(d)paragraphs 2(2)(c) and 5(3)(c) of the Schedule (further provision about Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of the Crown Prosecution Service) to the Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate Act 2000(12);

(e)paragraphs 2(2)(d) and 5(3)(d) of Schedule 3A (further provision about the inspectors of court administration) to the Courts Act 2003(13);

(f)section 20(4)(g) (joint area reviews) of the Children Act 2004(14); and

(g)paragraph 1(2)(d) of Schedule 13 (interaction with other authorities) to the Education and Inspections Act 2006(15).
