EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order gives effect to the London Borough of Ealing Permit Scheme.

The London Borough of Ealing Permit Scheme is designed to control the carrying out of works in specified streets in Ealing by imposing an obligation to obtain a permit from London Borough of Ealing before undertaking the works.

Article 3 gives effect to the permit scheme, which will come into effect on 11th January 2010. The permit scheme referred to in this article is set out in the Schedule to the Order.

Article 4 applies Part 8 of the Traffic Management Permit Scheme (England) Regulations 2007 (which makes provision for the disapplication and modification of enactments in relation to specified works in specified streets) to the specified works and specified streets within the London Borough of Ealing Permit Scheme.

A copy of the London Borough of Ealing Permit Scheme is deposited and can be inspected at the offices of the London Borough of Ealing, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road, London W5 2HL and is also available to inspect on the London Councils’ website www.londoncouncils.gov.uk.
