These Regulations implement Council Directive 2006/88/EC (OJ No L 238, 24.11.2006, p14) on animal health requirements for aquaculture animals and products thereof and on the prevention and control of certain diseases in aquatic animals.

In the Water Act 1989 M1—
a
omit paragraphs 3 and 8 of Schedule 17; and
b
in Part 1 of Schedule 27 omit the entries relating to the Diseases of Fish Act 1937 and the Diseases of Fish Act 1983.
