Coming into force in accordance with article 1(1)
The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 161(3) and (4), 167(1) and (3) and 170(3) and (4) of the Health and Social Care Act 2008(1).
The Secretary of State for Health has consulted the Welsh Ministers, in accordance with section 172(4) of that Act(2).
2008 c.14. See section 171(2) of that Act for the definition of “appropriate authority”, which is relevant to the powers being exercised.
Section 172(4) of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 requires the Secretary of State to consult the Welsh Ministers before making a commencement order relating to section 148 of that Act in relation to England.
