Amendment of direction 18

13.—(1) Direction 18 (road markings to be placed only in conjunction with other road markings or specified signs—except road markings for prohibitions and restrictions on waiting etc) is amended as follows.

(2) In table 1 in paragraph (1)—

(a)after item 3, insert—

“3A.1001.2A3000, 3000.7, 3000.8, 3000.9 or 3000.10 placed adjacent to the stop line appearing above the pedal cycle symbol in diagram 1001.2A”

(b)in column (3) of item 4, in paragraph (b)—

(i)after “4003.1” insert “(whether or not used in conjunction with 4003.1A)”;

(ii)after “4003.4” insert “(whether or not used in conjunction with 4003.4A)”; and

(iii)after “4003.7” insert “(whether or not used in conjunction with 4003.7A)”;

(c)after item 10, insert—

“10A.10501049”

(d)for the entry in column (3) of item 11, substitute—

“(a)955, 956, 957, 959.1, 960.1, 960.2, 965 or 967;

(b)1001.2 when used in conjunction with 1004 or 1004.1; or

(c)2601.2 or 2602.2”; and

(e)in column (3) of item 18, for “direction 11(2)” substitute “direction 11”.

(3) In paragraph (2), after “1001.2” insert “or 1001.2A”.

(4) In table 2 in paragraph (3)—

(a)after item 5, insert—

“5A.1044.2615 and 811”

(b)for the entry in column (3) of item 6, substitute—

“(a)1049 and 959;

(b)1049 and 959A; or

(c)1049 and 960”;

(c)for the entry in column (3) of item 8, substitute—

“(a)1048 and 959;

(b)1048 and 959A;

(c)1048 and 960; or

(d)1048.1 and 960 varied to include the pedal cycle symbol”; and

(d)omit—

“11.1050964 and 1049”
