The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 38(3) of the Public Bodies Act 2011(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Public Bodies Act 2011 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2011.
2. Section 30(9) to (11) of the Public Bodies Act 2011 shall come into force on 16th December 2011.

Article 2 of this Order brings into force, on 16th December 2011, section 30(9) to (11) of the Public Bodies Act 2011 (‘the Act’), which relate to making a scheme for the transfer of property, rights and liabilities of a regional development agency to an eligible person or any body corporate in connection with the abolition of the agency under section 30(1) of the Act. Commencing section 30(9) has the effect of applying sections 23(4) to (9) and 25 as if those provisions were contained in section 30.
