The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 8B(5) of the Immigration Act 1971(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2012 and shall come into force on 17th August 2012.
2.—(1) Part 2 of the Schedule to the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) Order 2000(2) is amended as follows.
(2) After “Council Implementing Decision 2012/334/CFSP of 25 June 2012 (Afghanistan)” insert “and as implemented by Council Implementing Decision 2012/393/CFSP of 16 July 2012 (Afghanistan)(3) and as implemented by Council Implementing Decision 2012/454/CFSP of 1 August 2012 (Afghanistan)(4)”.
(3) After “Council Decision 2012/205/CFSP of 23 April 2012 (Iran)” insert “and as amended by Council Decision 2012/457/CFSP of 2 August 2012 (Iran)(5)”.
(4) After “Council Decision 2011/635/CFSP of 26 September 2011 (Somalia)” insert “and as amended by Council Decision 2012/388/CFSP of 16 July 2012 (Somalia)(6)”.
(5) After “Council Implementing Decision 2012/335/CFSP of 25 June 2012 (Syria)” insert “and as implemented by Council Implementing Decision 2012/424/CFSP of 23 July 2012 (Syria)(7)”.

This Order amends the Schedule to the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) Order 2000.
It amends Part 2 of the Schedule to list Council Implementing Decision 2012/393/CFSP of 16 July 2012 (Afghanistan), Council Implementing Decision 2012/454/CFSP of 1 August 2012 (Afghanistan), Council Decision 2012/457/CFSP of 2 August 2012 (Iran), Council Decision 2012/388/CFSP of 16 July 2012 (Somalia) and Council Implementing Decision 2012/424/CFSP of 23 July 2012 (Syria).
Any person named by or under an instrument listed in the Schedule (as amended) or falling within a description specified in such an instrument will be excluded from the United Kingdom (subject to the exceptions specified in article 3 of the 2000 Order).
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sector is foreseen.
