Repeals

16.  Section 1 of, the definition of “marriage officer” in section 4 of, and the Schedule to, the Marriage with Foreigners Act 1906(1) are repealed.

Revocations

17.  The Foreign Marriage Order 1970(2), the Foreign Marriage (Amendment) Order 1990(3) and the Foreign Marriage (Amendment) Order 2013(4) are revoked.

Amendment to the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006

18.  In section 38(1) of the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006(5) for “the Foreign Marriage Act 1892 (c. 23)” substitute “section 13(1) of, and Schedule 6 to, the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013 and to any Orders in Council made under that Schedule”.

Amendments to the Consular Fees Order 2012

19.  The Consular Fees Order 2012(6) is amended as follows.

20.  In article 3 for “marriage officers under the Foreign Marriage Act 1892 and the Marriage with Foreigners Act 1906” substitute “registration officers under the Consular Marriages and Marriages under Foreign Law Order 2014”.

21.  In entry 12 in the table in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Order for “Foreign Marriages Acts 1892 and 1947” substitute “Consular Marriages and Marriages under Foreign Law Order 2014”.
