23. In section 146(1) (duration of moratorium), after subsection (7), insert—

“(7A) The regulator shall also notify the HCA as follows—

(a)if it extends a moratorium, and

(b)when a moratorium ends.”.

Section 146 was amended by paragraph 39 of Schedule 16 and paragraph 50 of Schedule 19 to the Localism Act. It is also prospectively amended by the Housing and Planning Act 2016.
