2.  In section 2—U.K.

(a)in subsection (1)(d), after “United Kingdom” insert “ before exit day ”;

(b)for subsection (2A), substitute—

“(2A) In this section “EEA state” has the meaning which it had under Schedule 1 to the Interpretation Act 1978 before exit day.”
