Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
The National Curriculum for Wales for history will be revised from 1st August 2000. This Order gives legal effect to the new programmes of study, which set out what pupils should be taught, and attainment targets for them. Details of these are set out in a document called “History in the National Curriculum” which is available from the Qualifications, Curriculum and Assessment Authority for Wales.
The Order replaces the Education (National Curriculum) (Attainment Targets and Programmes of Study in History) (Wales) Order 1998.
