17.—(1) Where, on or before 31st March 2004, a relevant medical practitioner had notified the Local Health Board of any matters relating to an independent nurse prescriber or a supplementary prescriber under paragraph 28A of Schedule 2 to the 1992 Regulations(1), the succeeding contractor shall not be required to notify the Local Health Board of those same matters under—
(a)the term of its general medical services contract which gives effect to paragraph 64 of Schedule 6 to the 2004 Regulations; or
(b)the equivalent term of its default contract.
(2) In paragraph (1), “independent nurse prescriber” and “supplementary prescriber” have the same meaning as in paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the 1992 Regulations(2).
