Independent nurse prescribers and supplementary prescribers17

Where, on or before 31st March 2004, a relevant medical practitioner had notified the Local Health Board of any matters relating to an independent nurse prescriber or a supplementary prescriber under paragraph 28A of Schedule 2 to the 1992 Regulations26, the succeeding contractor shall not be required to notify the Local Health Board of those same matters under—
a
the term of its general medical services contract which gives effect to paragraph 64 of Schedule 6 to the 2004 Regulations; or
b
the equivalent term of its default contract.

In paragraph (1), “independent nurse prescriber” and “supplementary prescriber” have the same meaning as in paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the 1992 Regulations27.
