The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 200 of the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003(1), hereby makes the following Order:

3.  Article 31 of the (Wales) (No.2) Order (arrangements for GP Registrars) is revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order corrects a cross-referencing error in article 86 of the General Medical Services Transitional and Consequential Provisions (Wales) (No.2) Order 2004. The Order also revokes article 31 of that Order. That provision disapplied a requirement for the consent of the Assembly for the employment of a GP Registrar for the purpose of being trained by a GP Trainer. The requirement for such consent in paragraph 63 of Schedule 6 to the General Medical Services Contracts (Wales) Regulations 2004 is removed by regulation 11(14) of the National Health Service (Primary Medical Services)(Miscellaneous Amendments) (Wales) Regulations 2006.
