The Firefighters’ Pensions (Remediable Service) (Wales) Regulations 2023

The Welsh Ministers make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1(1) and (2)(f), and 2(1) together with paragraph 6(b) of Schedule 2 and sections 3(1), (2) and (3) of the Public Service Pensions Act 20131 (“the 2013 Act”) and sections 5(1) and (5), 6(1), 7(3), 8(1) and (3), 10(1) and (3), 11(1) and (5), 12(1) and (3), 18(1) to (3), (5), (6) and (8), 19(1), (4) and (5), 20(1), (4) and (5), 21, 22(1) and (6), 24(1), 25(1), (3) and (4), 26(1) and (2), 29(1), (7) and (8) and 31(2) and (3) of the Public Service Pensions and Judicial Offices Act 2022 (“the PSPJOA 2022”)2.

In accordance with section 3(5) of the 2013 Act, these Regulations are made with the consent of the Treasury.

In accordance with section 21(1) of the 2013 Act, the Welsh Ministers have consulted such persons (or the representatives of such persons) as appear to the Welsh Ministers likely to be affected by these Regulations.
