The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3A and 4 of the Ministry of Defence Police Act 1987(1).
In accordance with section 4(7) of that Act, a draft of these Regulations was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
1987 c. 4, section 3A was inserted by the section 79(1) of the Police Reform Act 2002 (c. 30) and amended by paragraph 14 of Schedule 22 to the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 (c. 4); section 4 was substituted by paragraph 15 of Schedule 22 to the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 (c. 4).
