40The Lord Chancellor may by order make such transitional and saving provisions as appear to him to be necessary or expedient, in consequence of any provision made by or under this Act, in connection with the operation of any provisions of the [1988 c. 34.] Legal Aid Act 1988 (including any provision of that Act which is amended or repealed by this Act).
