The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 50 of the Police Act 1996(1).
In accordance with section 63(3) of that Act, he has supplied a draft of these Regulations to the Police Advisory Board for England and Wales and has taken into consideration the representations made by that Board.
1996 c. 16; there are amendments to sections 50 and 63(3) which are not relevant to the subject matter of these Regulations.
