The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 208(1) of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022(1), makes the following Regulations.
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (Commencement No. 1 and Transitional Provision) (Amendment) Regulations 2022.
(2) These Regulations extend and apply to England and Wales only, subject as follows.
(3) Regulation 2(a) extends to England and Wales and Scotland.
2. In regulation 5 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (Commencement No.1 and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2022(2) (provisions coming into force on 28th June 2022)—
(a)in paragraph (i) for “73(1) to (6)” substitute “73(1) to (4)”;
(b)in paragraph (j) for “73(7)” substitute “73(5)”;
(c)in paragraph (q) after “section 152” insert “and Schedule 13”.

These Regulations amend the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (Commencement No.1 and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2022 (S.I. 2022/520 (C. 23)) (“the principal Regulations”).
Regulation 3 amends paragraphs 5(i) and (j) of the principal Regulations so as to remove references to subsections (6) and (7) of section 73. These subsections do not exist in the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (c. 32).
Regulation 3 also adds Schedule 13 to the 2022 Act to the provisions being brought into force by the principal Regulations on the 28th June 2022. Schedule 13 makes amendments relating to the removal of attendance centre requirements for adults.
