Ymweliadau dilynol â phlant a faethir yn breifat

8.—(1) Rhaid i bob awdurdod lleol drefnu bod swyddog o'r awdurdod yn ymweld â phob plentyn a faethir yn breifat yn ei ardal—

(a)ym mlwyddyn gyntaf y trefniant maethu preifat ar ôl bylchau nad ydynt yn fwy na chwe wythnos; a

(b)mewn ail flwyddyn neu unrhyw flwyddyn wedyn, ar ôl bylchau nad ydynt yn fwy na 12 wythnos.

(2) Yn ychwanegol at ymweliadau a wneir yn unol â pharagraff (1) rhaid i'r awdurdod lleol drefnu bod pob plentyn a faethir yn breifat yn ei ardal yn cael ymweliad gan swyddog pan wneir cais rhesymol am hynny gan y plentyn, y gofalydd maeth preifat, rhiant y plentyn neu unrhyw berson arall sydd â chyfrifoldeb rhiant am y plentyn.

(3) Pan wneir ymweliad o dan y rheoliad hwn rhaid i'r swyddog siarad â'r plentyn ar ei ben ei hun onid yw o'r farn bod hynny'n amhriodol.

(4) Pan wneir ymweliad o dan y rheoliad hwn rhaid i'r swyddog gadarnhau'r materion hynny a restrir yn Atodlen 3 y mae'n ymddangos i'r swyddog eu bod yn berthnasol.

(5) Rhaid i'r swyddog wneud adroddiad ysgrifenedig i'r awdurdod lleol ar ôl pob ymweliad a wnaed yn unol â'r rheoliad hwn.

(6) At ddibenion y rheoliad hwn, bernir bod y trefniant maethu preifat yn cychwyn pan ddaw'r awdurdod lleol yn ymwybodol ohono.
